Years later, she served on the school board for 8 years and the IU13 Board for 4 years. Her love of youth and education benefitted many as she served her neighbors and community. Recently, her passion to continually learn and grow, led her to complete her master degree at Evangelical Seminary.
Carol and her husband Barry raised their 3 children on a small farm where they established a successful hog operation. In 1986, they decided to purchase their first rental property and Carol was exposed to a new career possibility as a real estate agent. Now licensed for 28 years with many satisfied and happy customers, Carol’s love of people and passion for helping others resulted in a very satisfying life calling. It doesn’t get much better than this…to work in a career that you were wired for and brings so much joy and personal satisfaction while helping people find the home of their dreams!
Carol enjoys spending time with her family which now includes 10 grandkids (ages 21-8), serving at her church, Bethany Grace Fellowship, time away at their vacation place in the country, long walks at the beach, good conversation over coffee, reading a good soul-searching book, helping others and she loves to learn something new.
Taking a mission trip to India in 2005, opened up many opportunities to serve those who need support and help in life. Carol’s heart for the homeless, the orphan, and the impoverished carried over into the following organizations she supports and serves today:
- Hope 4 Women – a local non-profit helping women & children in India and in her community
- Home International – a local non-profit helping abandoned girls in India
- Second Street Shop – a local non-profit thrift shop in Denver & Ephrata
